Posible duplicado:
el tamaño de las listas de actualización de apt-get es demasiado grande
Después de limpiar instalando 12.04 (Release Candidate) y aceptando todas las actualizaciones hasta hoy, encuentro que sudo apt-get update invariablemente obtiene información en el rango de MB, alrededor de 12 MB, mientras que sudo apt-get upgrade en su mayoría no tiene nada que descargar.
Las tres mayores búsquedas que veo son:

Estoy bastante seguro de que sudo apt-get update las recuperaciones no eran tan grandes con 11.10 y rara vez cruzaban ni siquiera 1 MB.
Mi pregunta es la siguiente:¿estas grandes recuperaciones son solo porque la versión 12.04 es reciente o estas grandes actualizaciones serán la norma?

(fast en la primera línea es porque estoy usando apt-fast en lugar de apt-get )
Respuesta aceptada:
Deshabilité deb-src de apt.conf líneas por microcualquiera que sea la respuesta. Esto lo redujo, al igual que contigo, a ~6 MB.
Luego me di cuenta de que cuando apt obtenía la información del paquete, pasaba por 192.168.1.3, mi squid-deb-proxy servidor (que ejecuta 11.10; aún no he tenido tiempo de actualizarlo). Desinstalando squid-deb-proxy-client del cliente devolvió el tamaño de descarga de información a la normalidad.
EDITAR:Aaand volvió a su antiguo comportamiento. También verifiqué la máquina virtual en mi Mac (instalación nueva de la versión estable el día que salió) que arranco de vez en cuando; la información de actualización del paquete también es una gran descarga. Dejaré esta respuesta simplemente para documentar que esta solución no funciona. Más allá de eso, estoy atascado.
