Recientemente actualicé a 16.10 desde 16.04 y ahora el panel táctil deja de responder mientras se presiona una tecla del teclado. Estas teclas excluyen las teclas funcionales como alt, super, ctrl, shift, Fn, etc.

Veo que el problema es libinput Disable While Typing Enabled (297) propiedad. Entonces, ¿acabo de configurar eso con set-prop?

Después de la actualización libinput esta instalado. Puede deshabilitar esta característica de esta manera. Ejecutar en una terminal
sudo -H gedit /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/60-libinput.conf
y agréguelo a la sección del panel táctil después de Driver "libinput"
Option "DisableWhileTyping" "false"
Guarde el archivo y reinicie la sesión o reinicie.
Otra forma de solucionar esto es desinstalar xserver-xorg-input-libinput . Eso revertirá todo como estaba en 16.04 usando xorg-synaptics .
