¿Unity completamente roto después de la actualización a 12.10?

Estoy enfrentando un problema muy frustrante con mi computadora en este momento. Actualicé con éxito a Ubuntu 12.10 esta tarde, pero después de la actualización, la interfaz gráfica de usuario parece completamente rota. Para ser más específicos, no puedo hacer que la barra de Unity aparezca a la derecha .
