¿Bluetooth no funciona en Ubuntu 16.04 con el adaptador Atheros [0cf3:3004]?

Mi computadora portátil, una MSI GS70 Stealth Pro, tiene un dispositivo Bluetooth integrado que Ubuntu parece no reconocer.

Cuando voy a System Settings > Bluetooth dice No Bluetooth adapters found .

Por lo que he visto en otros hilos, dejo aquí información que espero sea útil:

¿Cómo soluciono este problema?

Este problema existe porque Atheros reutilizó el chip VID y PID.

Como solución, puede parchear el btusb.c y cámbielo de ath3k a Rome.

Creé un paquete DKMS para solucionar este problema y lo subí a mi PPA.

Instale este deb y reinicie. Esto debería solucionar el problema.
