Estoy tratando de unirme a una reunión de WebEx desde Ubuntu 12.04. Puedo unirme pero no veo los mensajes de chat en vivo, no escucho ningún sonido y no puedo ver la presentación. He intentado usar Ubuntu 12.04 de 64 bits y 32 bits. La única vez que pude hacerlo funcionar, fue en 32 bits y el sonido funcionó durante unos minutos, pero luego se detuvo; Pude ver la presentación, pero no pude ver los mensajes de chat. Instalé Oracle Java 7 desde el PPA webupd8 y descargué todas las actualizaciones de Ubuntu a partir de hoy, 28 de mayo de 2013.
La página de requisitos del sistema de WebEx dice que requieren Ubuntu 10.x o 11.x de 32 bits. ¿Significa esto que en mayo de 2013 no son compatibles con Ubuntu 12.04?!?

Todavía estoy aprendiendo sobre Ubuntu y Linux, pero sé que Ubuntu 12.04 viene con un kernel más nuevo (3.2), usa el administrador de ventanas X11, Unity está basado en Gnome e instalé Oracle Java 7. Cuando busco en el centro de software estos otros paquetes estoy un poco confundido ya que hay tantas opciones. Supongo que mi problema es no tener uno o más de estos paquetes y/o versiones incompatibles. ¿Alguien tiene alguna idea sobre esto?

La única manera de hacer que Webex funcionara completamente era instalar VirtualBox y luego instalar Windows como un sistema operativo virtual. Sí, es un poco incómodo ejecutar un sistema operativo virtual cada vez que necesita Webex, pero puede estar 100 % seguro de que funcionará perfectamente (voz, video, pantalla compartida).
