Hice una instalación limpia en ubuntu 12.10. Todo parecía estar bien al principio, incluido el sonido, pero después de un tiempo dejó de funcionar. Para recuperarlo, tengo que reiniciarlo, a veces incluso más de una vez.

tuve el mismo problema sin suerte, volví a ubuntu 12.04 y todo funcionaba bien
