Acepto cualquier sugerencia/solución para resolver este problema.
Usando snap, puedo eliminar snaps pero cuando quiero instalar cualquier snap, aparece el siguiente error:

Así que tuve el mismo problema. Así es como lo resolví:

sudo mv /etc/fonts/ /etc/fonts.bak
Restablecer el escritorio:
restablecer dconf -f
Restablecer permisos de fuentes existentes en la carpeta compartida:
encontrar /usr/share/fonts -type f -exec sudo chmod 644 {};
Restablecer permisos de fuentes existentes en la carpeta de usuario:
encontrar ~/.fuentes -tipo f -exec sudo chmod 644 {};
Mover las fuentes a la carpeta original:
sudo mv /etc/fonts.bak/ /etc/fonts
Restablecer caché de fuentes
sudo fc-cache -r -v
La desventaja es que al restablecer el escritorio, tendrá que comenzar de nuevo con cualquier personalización que haya realizado allí. Además, de ninguna manera soy un experto, pero lo anterior funcionó para mí, así que pensé en compartirlo.
