En Ubuntu, /etc/init.d ha sido reemplazado por /usr/lib/systemd. Los scripts aún pueden iniciarse y detenerse mediante 'servicio'. Pero el comando principal ahora es 'systemctl'. El comando chkconfig se quedó atrás, y ahora lo hace con systemctl.
Así que en lugar de:
chkconfig enable apache2
Debe buscar el nombre del servicio y luego habilitarlo
systemctl status apache2
systemctl enable apache2.service
Systemd se ha vuelto más fácil de averiguar si tiene un script systemd o un script /etc/init.d y hacer lo correcto.
El comando chkconfig ya no está disponible en Ubuntu. El comando equivalente a chkconfig es update-rc.d .Este comando casi es compatible con todas las nuevas versiones de ubuntu.
