Acabo de actualizar a Ubuntu 16.04 desde 15.10 y mi VirtualBox ya no quiere iniciarse. Intenté purgar virtualbox , virtualbox-dkms y vagrant de mi sistema y parece funcionar (por cierto, no soy un administrador de sistemas, así que mantenlo estúpidamente simple). Una vez que reinstale usando el DEB en línea o usando apt-get Me sale esto al final:

Intenté mirar dmesg pero no tengo ni idea de qué hacer con este montón de información y dudo que pegar todo esto aquí valga la pena. Si sabe dónde debo buscar, ¡será un placer incluir una parte!

Iniciar VBox y tratar de subir una de mis cajas vagabundas me mostró que debería haber ejecutado modprobe como raíz. Recibí este mensaje cuando ejecuté sudo modprobe vboxdrv :

Encontré la respuesta, fue ese arranque seguro instalado por Ubuntu durante la actualización. Las instrucciones no eran claras en cuanto a cómo eliminar ese arranque seguro, pero logré hacerlo.
- Reinicie su computadora después de instalar los controladores DKMS para VBOX
- Se le pedirá una pantalla azul con 2 opciones:esperar o cambiar la configuración de MDK
- Al elegir cambiar la configuración de MDK e ingresar los caracteres de la contraseña según lo solicitado, debe presionar la tecla correspondiente al índice de caracteres que se solicita y luego presionar ENTER.
- Después de ingresar 2 o 3 caracteres, le preguntarán si desea eliminar el arranque seguro, ¡diga que sí!
- La computadora se reiniciará, una vez que regrese, ¡debería funcionar!
