Sé que se trata de un error conocido y que hay varias preguntas sobre el mismo error, pero lamentablemente ninguna de las respuestas ayudó a resolver mi problema.

Vengo de una instalación limpia de Ubuntu 14.04.05 Desktop 64bit. Hice una instalación limpia con la opción de "Borrar el disco e instalar Ubuntu", pero no importa cuántas veces intenté limpiar la instalación de Ubuntu (actualmente 3 veces), cada vez que inicio sesión en el sistema e intento ejecutar sudo apt-get update y luego sudo apt-get upgrade Recibo el siguiente error:

Algunas notas:

• Intenté instalar Ubuntu con instalación limpia varias veces, incluso probé con diferentes memorias USB (para que la memoria USB no esté dañada) e intenté instalar Ubuntu en otra máquina con la misma memoria y funcionó.
• Sospecho que el problema está en mi sistema de archivos (¿o incluso en Grub?) de alguna manera.
• No es la primera vez que tengo Ubuntu 14.04 instalado en esta computadora, en el pasado no tuve tales problemas con esta computadora.
• Probé las siguientes soluciones hasta ahora:
  • Error al procesar el paquete firmado con shim
  • dpkg:error al procesar el paquete firmado por shim
  • Errores durante la actualización de 17.10 a 18.04 (firmado por shim y firmado por grub-efi-amd64)

Comprobar el disco en busca de defectos

Reinicié el sistema con la memoria USB en vivo y elegí la opción "verificar el disco en busca de defectos", funcionó durante un tiempo y dijo que había un error en 1 de los archivos o algo así, no dijo qué archivo y cuál fue el error y me pidió que reiniciara. Reinicio pero el problema sigue ahí.

• Seleccione "Opciones avanzadas" -> "Modo de recuperación" -> "Acceso raíz"
• Escribí sudo fsck -f / y el reinicio (salida del comando a continuación).

grub-install y update-grub

Ahora ejecuté sudo grub-install seguido de sudo update-grub la salida es la siguiente:

$ sudo grub-install

sudo apt-get download dpkg
sudo dpkg -i dpkg_1.17.5ubuntu5.8_amd64.deb
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get -f install
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade

Esto solucionará el problema.
